First Aid & CPR Courses

Vertical Horizonz Australia (RTO 31160) deliver first aid courses that train against and assess the following individual or integrated Units of Competency. 

1 Day course duration,

$130/ Trainee, face to face delivery.

Course size: Min 10,  Max 15 trainees

Unit Description/ Application:        

HLTAID001: This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

HLTAID003: This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide First Aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Licensing/ Regulatory Information:

Specific licencing, regulatory requirements relating to these competencies, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities

Pre-Requisites:

There is no Pre-Requisite for this unit.

Assessment Methods:

Assessment methods may include more than one of the following:

  • Oral questioning
  • Written test
  • Practical assessment (including completion of relevant documentation)
  • Simulated activities
  • Work-based activities

Refresher requirements:

HLTAID001 Provide CPR requires a refresher to be completed every 12 months. The refresher cost $55/ trainee.

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid requires a refresher every 2 years
