This aim of this course is to enable a trainee to produce an occupational health and safety incident investigation based on organisational requirements, an incident and a report based on that incident.
This can be a standalone course or incorporated into the health and safety rep stage 2 or OSH level 3 programmes.
At the successful completion of this course, the trainee will be able to:
- Understand why workplace accidents/incidents need to be reported and investigated.
- Be able to explain the concepts of multiple causation and root-cause analysis.
- Detail an incident investigation process using a hypothetical incident.
- Produce an incident investigation report based on a documented incident.
