    Breathing Apparatus (BA)

To produce a Competent Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus (CABA) operator. At the successful completion of the course the operator will be able to; describe the safe operation, prepare, test, and recommission CABA equipment; wear and monitor a CABA; and implement emergency procedures.

Course Objectives
At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:
  • Describe the safe operation of CABA.
  • Prepare, test and recommission CABA equipment.
  • Wear and monitor CABA.
  • Implement emergency procedure.

25044   Wear and operate compressed air breathing apparatus (BA) in the workplace

Attendance Numbers     Minimum of 6, maximum of 8 (if a maximum of 12 trainees is required, you will need to supply 4 cylinders)
Course Duration            1 day

Special Notes
Within a BA environment it is critical that a seal is made between the users face and the mask so on this note we recommend that all trainees are cleanly shaven.
