Certificate II Resources & Infrastructure Work Preparation - RII20120
The Certificate is a pathway qualification for those interested in persuing a career in the civil construction industry. Likewise, it is suitable for trainees already in the industry who widsh to gain qualifications to support work experiences.
The certifciate is appropriates for those working in routine roles or, those about to or, have recently entered into the resource and infrastructure industries. Trainees undertake a prescribed range of tasks involving known routines and procedures, while unbdestanding the requiement of taking responsibility for safety and the quality of work outcomes.
The programme is delivered in a practical way and learners have the opportunity to imitate, practice and demonstrate their knowledge and skills in their workplace.
As with all Vertical Horizonz courses the training applies transferable knowledge, skills and attitudes in hazard identification, risk management and safety leadership, designed to reduce overall injury and loss rate.
Trainees are required to compete a total of 9 units of comepetency cosisting of:

- RIIRIS201E Conduct local risk control
- RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures

Recognition of Prior Learning/RPL
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) leverages knowledge, skills, and attitudes collected throughout you'r working life, transferring those experiences to align with the training course requirements. Trainees undergoing the RPL process must be capable of demonstrating competency for the qualiication.
