Our civilisation has been built on the back of the Chemical Industry and Chemicals are now so ubiquitous that we risk a loss of our appreciation of the risks they pose for us, and for our businesses. Take something as fundamentally important as fuel: Petrol and diesel are recognised as flammable substances. Few people appreciate the toxicity, carcinogenic (cancer causing) and ecotoxic risks of these fuels. Under the HSNO Act (1996) these hazards and risks are identified to EPA NZ and must be made available to you.....
