Purpose

This course is intended as a refresher of the Fire Extinguisher training.

Course Objectives

To refresh the trainee's knowledge and understanding of:

  • The fire classes and fire suppression techniques.
  • Selection and use of hand extinguisher and fixed hose reels to suppress the fire.
  • The basic principles of the chemistry of combustion.
  • The basic principles of the physics of fire.

Industry guidelines advise undergoing refresher training every two years.
