Purpose

This aim of this course is to enable a trainee to produce an occupational health and safety incident investigation based on organisational requirements, an incident and a report based on that incident.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the completion of this course, successful trainees will be able to:

Explain why workplace accidents/incidents need to be reported and investigated
Explain the concepts of multiple causation and root-cause analysis
Detail an incident investigation process using a hypothetical incident
Produce an incident investigation report based on a documented incident.
