Jump Master Assessments
8 September 2021
As part of VH’s ongoing reach we continue to provide smart bespoke solutions to ensure that all organisations meet their ongoing training and assessment requirements for all staff.
Recently, North Island Regional Manager Andrew Sykes headed down to Queenstown to assist AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand with their ongoing Jump Master assessments to ensure that their staff can continue to provide a safe and great experience for all of the clients wishing for the ultimate adrenaline buzz.
VH’s role in this process is to help develop and oversee the rigorous assessments which are aligned to AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand’s own comprehensive internal SOP’s and the standard AS/NZS 5848:2000 (Code of Practice for Bungy Jumping). To ensure that all aspects are covered we undertake this with the help of a very experienced independent Bungy Jump Master. It takes a number of years’ experience for AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand to put staff forward for this assessment as the knowledge and experience required is very comprehensive and the standard of the candidates is always very high, with everyone being assessed clearly having undertaken months of study enabling them to perform well through the test.
The pictures show that our staff have to understand the process from start to finish, so Andrew has previously undertaken a couple of jumps during prior visits including a test run of the catapult which was “certainly a different experience”.
