Purpose

This course provides safe working knowledge for loading and unloading service vehicles along with the use of suitable tools and equipment. It does not include handling of dangerous goods.

On Completion of this learners will be able to:

Plan the loading of a goods vehicle
Load a goods vehicle
Restrain, secure, and protect the load
Unload a goods vehicle.

This unit standard is intended for employees as well as students and those in pre-employment training.
