Vertical Horizonz and Site Safe have renewed their agreement, enabling trainees who complete the Vertical Horizonz mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) course to use it to renew their Site Safety Card (Passport).
This arrangement is part of a wider agreement between Site Safe and Vertical Horizonz to work together to improve access to resources, training and qualifications.
Site Safe Chief Executive Alison Molloy said the move was all about delivering the best possible benefits to the construction workforce. "I'm very pleased to say that our partnering agreement with Vertical Horizonz is already delivering advantages to the industry. "This is just the first of many initiatives we hope to deliver with Vertical Horizonz." Trainees can apply to use this course to renew their Site Safety Card by providing this information to Vertical Horizonz at the time of enrolment.
Successful completion of the Vertical Horizonz MEWP course can also give trainees six credits towards the Certificate in Construction Site Safety qualification, Site Safe's tertiary qualification.
"This agreement is all about working together to provide trainees with even more options to complete the training that's right for them," Ms Molloy said. Working groups made up of representatives from both organisations are currently working on several other initiatives to improve outcomes, with further details expected to be confirmed later this year.
