Purpose
The New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 3) - General is managed by Skills Organisation. Skills Organisation have developed a Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) process for candidates who are experienced scaffolders possibly with overseas qualifications. The process requires submission of a portfolio of evidence to Skills Organisation along with evidence of completion of several NZQA Unit Standards.
Course Outline
This course has been developed to assess candidates for the NZQA Unit Standards required by Skills Organisation for RCC. At the completion of the programme you will be able to provide evidence of completion of the required Unit Standards as follows:

Course Delivery
Except for first aid this course does not include training. It is expected that Candidates will be currently competent in the units being assessed. Candidates will be assessed for competence against the learning outcomes of the relevant unit standards. If candidates are not yet competent, they will be required to attend a separate full training course at their expense.
Entry Criteria
To be eligible to enrol applicants must:
- Be physically able to demonstrate competency (climb and lift weights)
- Weigh less than 135 Kilograms (maximum weight for a harness)
- Have at least three years overseas scaffolding experience and qualifications
- Be currently employed in a New Zealand scaffolding company
- Have experience working with cranes.
