Purpose
The New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 4) and (Level 5) are managed by Skills Organisation. Skills Organisation have developed a Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) process for candidates who are experienced scaffolders possibly with overseas qualifications. The process requires submission of a portfolio of evidence along with evidence of completion of several NZQA Unit Standards.
Course Outline
This course has been developed to assess trainees for the NZQA Unit Standards required by Skills Organisation in their Recognition of Prior Learning Process and follows completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 3) – General. At the completion of the programme you will be able to provide evidence of completion of the required Unit Standards as follows:

Course Delivery
Trainees will be assessed for competence against the learning outcome of the above unit standards. No training will be provided. If trainees are not yet competent they will be required to attend a separate full trainee course at their expense.
Entry Criteria
To be eligible to enrol applicants must:
- Have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 3) – General
- Be physically able to demonstrate competency (climb and lift weights)
- Have at least three years overseas scaffolding experience and qualifications
- Be currently employed in a New Zealand scaffolding company.
Who Should Attend
Individuals who are: Completing an RPL application through Skills Organisation for NZ Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 4) or (Level 5)
Disclaimer
Completion of this course does not assure completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 4) for RPL must be made to Skills Organisation using the process described using their recognition process.
