Price (Per Person):  $370 + GST
Company Booking:  $2,700 + GST

Purpose

People credited with this unit standard can train colleagues in the workplace, in accordance with organisational requirements.

Note: this unit standard is not intended for professional/specialist educators who should complete unit standard 7108.

Course Objectives

On successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:

• Determine skills and knowledge required by colleagues in accordance with organisational requirements
• Conduct training on-job
• Support colleagues in applying new skills and knowledge on the job.

Assessment 

Assessment will consist of three tasks:

• Task One – written task - identify a training gap and prepare training session plan(s)
• Task Two – practical activity – deliver training to two colleagues (observed by VHNZ trainer)
• Task Three – Post training documents – feedback on training from colleagues and self-reflection.

​​One Day (4 hours theory and 4 hours practical assessment completed in the workplace).

Special Note

It is essential that the practical component of the assessment is authentic and completed in an actual workplace context, with all the expectations and possible consequences that this may involve. A workplace may include but is not limited to:

• the candidate's workplace
• where the candidate is a volunteer
• a cultural, community, or sporting organisation
• a special event.

Simulations will not be used for assessment of this unit standard.

Entry Criteria

Applicants require access to relevant workplace and two colleagues to train.
